In the Nand Nagri area of Delhi, the BJP-ruled national capital, a Muslim father, Mohammed Umardeen, was tragically shot and killed while attempting to rescue his teenage son from a brutal assault by a Hindutva mob. Reports from the Kashmir Media Service indicate that the attack was a targeted act of anti-Muslim violence.

Umardeen was peacefully having tea at home with his wife, mother, and three daughters when he received a frantic call for help from his 15-year-old son, Tehjeem. The boy had been surrounded and mercilessly beaten by the extremists.

Speaking to local media, the boy's mother confirmed that the attack was driven purely by religious hatred. “They stopped him and said, ‘He is a Muslim, beat him.’ They assaulted my child so brutally that his head was split open,” she stated.

Recounting the harrowing moments, she mentioned that her severely injured son managed to call his father, pleading, “Papa, save me. They are beating me badly — Sonu and his brother Sardar.
