Timeline of Development
Alhamdulillah. The development of the RevivingSunnah platform started in late December of the year 2025. It's been 9 months, and this platform is being developed and refined continuously to give a modern experience to its visitors.
The Purpose of Development
The platform has been developed for the ummah with a view to reviving the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, so that it helps modern Muslims access the authentic teachings of Islam as understood by the Salaf (the pious predecessors).
Furthermore, since Muslims have to navigate around different sites to do different tasks, such as checking the prayer times, calculating zakat, reading the global news about the ummah, asking Islamic questions, and getting their answers based on the true teaching of Islam, reading in-depth articles, and donating money/zakat to the poor and needy muslims around the world, the stakeholders behind the RevivingSunnah platform came up with an idea to bring all of these and more areas into one single place, so that muslims can access all such features and areas of interest from the same place.
What content is being prioritized?
Below are the focus areas of this platform:
Islamic Q&A: So that muslims can ask whatever questions that they have related to Islam or their daily Islamic practices or dealings with society and get those answered according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
Ummah News: So that muslims are up to date with the global events unfolding concerning the ummah, and possibly make efforts to bring about positive change.
Quran: So that muslims can read, listen, and learn the Quran and apply its teachings to their daily life.
Sunnah: So that muslims know how to deal with certain situations based on the methodology of the prophetic narrations.
Quranic Reel Generator: Helps Muslims to easily generate beautiful Quranic reels and share them on social media, which will act as dawah content.
Shareable Photo Cards: Beautiful photo cards of the Quranic verses, hadith, and quotes from the Salaf to be spread on social media and the internet so that people can learn the true teachings of Islam.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Convey from me, even if it is a single verse".
Goals for the Future
Reviving Sunnah aims to reach the global muslim population with its services within a short span of time. In order to achieve this goal, the developers have already developed a system that helps translate the Q&A section into 9 languages other than English.
In terms of content writing: in the coming days, Reviving Sunnah is opting to reach out to volunteers who are interested in reporting ummah news, writing Islamic articles, and researching fatwas.
If Allah accepts the efforts and paves the way for it to reach more people, Reviving Sunnah may hire content writers in the long run to better serve the ummah.
